The 2022 GMC Terrain is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The 1.5-liter engine of the 2022 Terrain is mated with a nine-speed automatic transmission that efficiently transfers its power to the drivetrain of the SUV. The new GMC Terrain can be equipped with either a front-wheel-drive drivetrain or an all-wheel-drive drivetrain.

The turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is equipped in the 2022 GMC Terrain is capable of achieving up to 25 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway when it is paired with the standard front-wheel drive drivetrain of the Terrain. With the optional all-wheel-drive drivetrain, the 2022 GMC Terrain is capable of achieving 25 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway.

A Comfortable Cabin

The 2022 GMC Terrain features a comfortable cabin that provides seating for up to five people. Stylish elements, like aluminum and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, are available for the interior of the 2022 Terrain. The steering wheel and the front seats of the 2022 GMC Terrain can both be heated. The new Terrain can be equipped with a SkyScape sunroof, which allows more air and light into the cabin of the SUV.

A fold-flat front passenger seat can be equipped on the 2022 GMC Terrain, allowing drivers to maximize the amount of space that is available for cargo in the SUV. When equipped with the fold-flat front seat, the new GMC Terrain is capable of hauling up to 63 cubic feet of cargo, one of the highest cargo capacities in the model’s category. A 60-40 split-folding rear seat is equipped on every 2022 Terrain, providing drivers with more room for cargo behind the model’s front seats.

Entertainment Technologies

Entertainment in the 2022 GMC Terrain is all accessible through a touchscreen display. Two touchscreen display sizes are available for the new GMC Terrain; a 7.0-inch display and an 8.0-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard for the 2022 Terrain, allowing occupants of the SUV to easily connect their smartphone devices to the model’s infotainment system. If desired, a built-in navigation system can be included with the infotainment system of the new GMC Terrain, making it easier and safer for you to navigate between your destinations.

Safety Technologies

Every 2022 GMC Terrain is equipped with a selection of driver-assist and driver alert safety technologies. Automated emergency braking and lane-keeping assist are among the driver-assist technologies that are standard for the new GMC Terrain. Pedestrian detection and lane-departure warning are standard driver alert technologies for the 2022 Terrain.

 A head-up display is available for the 2022 GMC Terrain, providing drivers with a display of relevant vehicle information in their field of view. The head-up display helps minimize the amount of time that a driver will have their eyes away from the road. High Definition Surround Vision is also available for the 2022 Terrain. High Definition Surround Vision equips the Terrain with a multitude of cameras that provide a variety of views of the areas around the SUV. The new GMC Terrain can also be equipped with adaptive cruise control, which provides a safer cruise control experience for drivers of the SUV.
