Overview of the 2024 GMC Canyon

The 2024 GMC Canyon is a midsize truck with a range of trims and features. This year sees GMC add a new model, the AT4X AEV Edition, which comes with 17-inch offroad tires, tougher skid plates, and steel bumpers. As standard, the Canyon has a 310 horsepower Turbomax™ engine and claims best-in-class standard torque. Fuel economy ranges from 19 to 23 MPG (estimates provided by manufacturer).

Technology Highlights

This new version of the GMC Canyon boasts updated tech including a practical head-up display, underbody cameras, and an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. There’s also optional wireless device charging on top-spec trims, as well as 360-degree cameras. The GMC Hitch Guidance system comes as standard on all models to help make towing in Waterloo, IA much easier.

Design & Styling

GMC combines utility and luxury with the Canyon. The exterior is striking yet practical, with optional features like a Multitow Tailgate. Inside, the cockpit is well organized and there’s plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The Denali build offers an exclusive Jet Black interior trim with teak accents — unavailable on other models. The highest-spec AT4X trim comes in Obsidian Rush with white highlights.
