2021 GMC Terrain
Pushed Back Changes for the 2021 GMC Terrain
Most of the changes planned for the 2021 GMC Terrain were pushed to the next year. However, the Smokey Quart Metallic exterior color was deleted and so was the 2.0-liter Turbocharged 4-cylinder and its nine-speed automatic transmission. The Driver Alert Package is now called GMC Pro Safety Plus and does not require the Convenience Package.
Spoken Word Convenience
With built-in voice recognition, the GMC Infotainment System accepts your spoken commands to stream audio, manage online shopping at specific sites, and access compatible smart home equipment. When you have to maneuver through crowded traffic, available High Definition Surround Vision reveals a virtual top-down view.
Around Waterloo, IA, the 2021 GMC Terrain can take such exterior color options as Glue Emerald Metallic, Red Quartz Tintcoat, or Quicksilver Metallic. Interior color choices include Jet Black or Medium Ash Gray with Jet Black. The Elevation Edition adds details like a darkened front grille and black exterior accents.
Beating the Competition
In 2019, J.D. Power ranked the GMC Terrain higher than its compact SUV competition in terms of Performance. In 2016, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the vehicle its Top Safety Pick. From 2019 to 2021, the Terrain received the highest Five-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
